Jim ".50 cal" Deabenderfer

Jim ".50 cal" Deabenderfer

Real/full name:
Jim Deabenderfer
42 (born May 24th, 1977)
Place of origin:
United States (Greensburg, Pennsylvania)

Jim Deabenderfer began drumming at around ten years of age: bashing anything in sight with psuedo drum sticks. Once he became serious in 1991, he began various projects as most young musicians do.

Once he relocated to Western Pennsylvania with his family in late 1992, Jim found a myriad of musicians to keep him busy, as would prove over the coming years. It would be his late 1970's Premier ...

- Jim was given the nickname "Grindhead Jim" in 1995 by Adam MacGregor, of Creation is Crucifixion fame, for his love of Napalm Death and Carcass - one that he still uses to this day.

- Jim's nickname ".50 Cal" was earned during his time in the United States Marine Corps, by a comrade who likened his blast beats to the cadence of a Browning .50 caliber machine gun.
