Additional notes
Many people mistake members of Nile as being Egyptian or having ancestors of that nationality. Ironically, none of them are Egyptian in any way or form; they do, however, have a huge interest in the Egyptian studies, especially Karl Sanders.

The band categorize their music as "Ithyphallic Metal" in reference to its epic Egyptian themes.

Before creating Nile, Karl Sanders was in a thrash band Morriah, during the late 80's and played local shows with the young Morbid Angel and other US death metal bands.
