John played from 1980 to 1982 in Ian Gillian's solo band, recording the albums "Glory Road" (1980), "Future Shock" (1981) "Mutually Assured Destruction" (Single, 1981) "Double Trouble" (1981), "Magic" (1982) and "Live Wembly 17th December 1982" (2004)
