My beliefs on metal:

Every genre has good bands. It isn't up to the genre to meet your tastes. It's up to you to not be a narrow minded prick. So........

Nu-metal is not a bad genre. There are bad bands in it, as well as good bands. Unfortunately, I know too many bad ones.

The only genre I will be overtly biased towards is hair metal. Because 90% of that was shit.

Generally I like the new school of black metal (Arcturus, Hollenthon, Sigh, Samael, etc.) much more than the old-school Venom, Bathory, and Celtic Frost stuff. There's another bias.

Oh, and fuck scenegrind.

Metal I like:

Non-metal I like:
