Brutality w/out creativity is sloughed off intestinal lining diarrhea. Anyone can learn bar chords and tap into hatred and anger and bang out shit, but the bands that harness the brutality through a sincere love of music, creativity and musical expression are the only bands I think of as musicians. What I hate in the scene today is how many bands there are that sound like tone deaf football jocks that decided to go into death metal. It pays to learn how to play if you want to make music, especially brutal, crushing death metal, without talent, death metal sounds like bullshit.
