Some favorite bands in random order: KoRn, Slipknot, The Agony Scene [old], As Blood Runs Black, It Dies Today [old], Lamb of God, All Shall Perish, Bleeding Through, Crowbar, Ahab, As I Lay Dying, Mushroomhead, My Dying Bride, Draconian, Evanescence, Thine Eyes Bleed, Unearth, Himsa [newer], Throwdown, Hatebreed, Walls Of Jericho, and more. Notes: I don't consider KoRn, Slipknot, Evanescence, Hatebreed, Throwdown, or Walls of Jericho to be 'metal', rather rap/rock|modern Hardcore with tints of metal influences. I also don't really think of Unearth as a 'metal' band, but many people do so I'm not sure about them at the moment. I consider metalcore that's more metal then -core to be an offshoot of Death metal, and metalcore that's more -core then metal to be simply modern Hardcore especially since Hatebreed and Walls of Jericho call themselves that.
