I have been listening to real metal for four years. I grew up in the nu metal generation and realized that the scene was too watered down, repetitive and plastic. There are a few select "nonmetal" bands that I enjoy, but most of them have metal traits to them. Thrash is king, and if it's thrash and isn't repetitive new wave thrash (with the exception of Evile, Sanctity and Warbringer), I'll probably love it.

My review scale:
90-100 = essential
80-89 = amazing, with some good songs that pale in comparison to the rest of the album
70-79 = good, but a few duds
60-69 = decent. Worth buying, or at least downloading
50-59 = mediocre overall
40-49 = shit for the most part, only a couple listenable songs
39-0 = crap, stay as far away as possible (its doubtful I'll review any albums this shitty because its not worth my time, nor would I bother listening to something so crappy that I'd be in the right mind to WRITE about it. UltraBoris, I am not.)
