Just a note on my review scores. I try to rate albums within the context of ALL music, not just metal. So a stoner metal album that gets a 75% would almost certainly deserve a higher score when only compared to other stoner metal albums, etc.

My favourite Encyclopaedia metal bands include Black Sabbath, Budgie, Rush, Judas Priest, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Candlemass, Witchcraft, Cirith Ungol, Soundgarden, Mercyful Fate, Megadeth, Motorhead, Rainbow, Alestorm, Agalloch, Bison, Bushwhacker, Anciients, Windir, Finntroll, Burzum, Iron Maiden, Danzig, and 3 Inches Of Blood.

Also metal, though not included in the Archives, are Primus (funk metal) Wolfmother (heavy metal/stoner rock) and Blue Oyster Cult (various heavy metal tracks here and there, plus all of Imaginos).
