Most of my collection is comprised of CDs, but I've been buying mostly vinyl nowadays.

Now that my review catalogue is growing, I guess it's time to make a review scale:

100 - An album that I deem perfect. You might notice that I throw this score out more than some reviewers, but I only award it to albums that truly deserve it. Not every song has to be absolutely perfect, but the album as a whole has to create an atmosphere that I can immerse myself in during its entirety.

90 to 99 - An outstanding album that is either its own entity, or pushes its genre to the limit.

80 to 89 - A great album with perhaps a few dull moments or minor production issues. Nothing terribly wrong here.

70 to 79 - A good album with either a few bad moments or is generally a bit inconsistent. Perhaps it has a few great songs that save it from mediocrity or is a solid album that doesn't offer as much replay value as it should.

60 to 69 - An album with potential, but is nevertheless flawed. The album may be a bit bland as a whole or wildly inconsistent, with songs ranging from excellent to awful.

50 to 59 - An album with a few bright moments among some big problems. Not very good as a whole, but one or two songs may be worth checking out.

40 to 49 - An album that is either very boring but not awful, or too inconsistent to enjoy.

30 to 39 - An album that is virtually worthless which I would not recommend to anyone.

20 to 29 - An album with so much wrong with it that it becomes irritating to listen to or take seriously.

10 to 19 - A completely awful album that you shouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

0 to 9 - An album that goes beyond being displeasing to listen to and becomes something that is literally painful to experience. Avoid like a sickness.
