I mostly listen to progressive metal and melodeath, though I do find myself listening to pretty much any metal, from black to symphonic. To put it shortly, I like music with melodies, but still with some heavier elements. Power metal isn't exactly my favourite genre, neither is black metal. My tastes also wary a lot depending on the day.

I can't get enough of small prog bands and my band backlog is massive. It may be surprising, but I haven't listened to most of the more popular prog bands. I know I'm missing out but I know I can always find them later, unlike these smaller guys trying to make it in the world as musicians.


I'm not a collector, I might buy music (online or physical if available) if it can't be found on platforms like spotify or youtube, but I really don't have the money on top of everything else to spend on music collection. I'd like to one day do at least a bit of collecting, but it'll not be happening any time soon.

Oh yes, I play bass. Well I'm learning to, for a few years now. I'm not in a band due to my social anxiety, but I'm working my way through it, how ever slow that may be.

If you know a tiny prog band (yours or anyone else's), recommend it to me, please! I'll gladly listen to it. While I can't guarantee that I'll like it nor give a review/feedback, in the case I DO enjoy it, hey, at least you'll get a new listener!
