I can enjoy a lot of different styles of music - namely, metal (of course), prog rock, classical, jazz, blues, classic rock (whatever that is), soul, and a little punk/alternative now and then.

Here's my rating system.
0% Soulja Boy
10% A musical faceplant
20% Bad.
30% Some redeeming qualities amongst the crap
40% I actually enjoyed a few seconds of this album.
50% It would be OK if...
60% Somewhat enjoyable
70% Average.
80% Pretty good, but not at its full potential.
90% I own this album with pride.
100% The best.

I got into metal via Deep Purple and early Def Leppard. As such, I'm a sucker for traditional and power metal. I don't mind stuff with harsh vocals, but it has to really stand out for me to enjoy it.
