I've been listening to metal since I was 12. The more extreme genres (extreme doom/death/black) are my favorite genres, as well as dark traditional metal - traditional doom and dark heavy metal (Angel Witch, Satan, Manilla Road, Iron Maiden, certain Judas Priest albums, Ironsword, Pagan Altar, etc.). I am not going to lie and say I am open minded, or have broad musical tastes, as this is simply not the case. However, I am not an elitist dm snob that thinks only old school dm is good. My tastes have changed quite a bit since I first started writing reviews, but I am not about to go back and change anything. I'm very interested in the most obscure scenes (geographically speaking) and tend to review albums that have little to no reviews.
