WARNING: Not a complete elitist. There is some core-ish stuff that I like, but don't fear - I agree that most of it is complete balls.
I'm 17 and like real metal, don't dress like a scene kid and know a reasonable amount about the history of the death and black metal genres. Shocking I know.
Favourite genres: Old School Death Metal, Technical Death Metal, Brutal Death Metal, Thrash, Black Metal, Stoner Metal, Doom Metal, Sludge, $LAM (yeah, wiggery is ridiculous), Grindcore, Hardcore (the proper stuff like Sick of It All, not this modern post-hardcore garbage like Attack Attack) and Post Rock.
