Haundead is a melodic death metal band from Lyon (France)

Influenced by the swedish metal scene, metal from the 90’s or modern post-rock.
Four friends build up a project gathering their music composition and mostly things they want to listen.
Band started early 2018 with Olivier Ramassamy (vocals), Alexandre Bouteiller (guitar), Sébastien Vallart (bass) and Rémi Pillon (drums).

With their other band experiences, music composition went fast…Haundead brought out their first single “The Call” at May 2018.
Recorded and mixed on their own and mastered by Thibault Bernard (Convulsound).
This single will give birth to a clip illustrating the Haundead universe.

Also, this single will give a chance to the band to get pretty concert events in France and Germany. Haundead shared the scene with bands like : The Oath (FR), The Black Passage (DE), Xaon (CH).

Not enough for them…
Haundead worked at the same time on the writing of their first album.
After months of work, the record is entrusted to Matéo Brossat. Mixing will start in October 2019.

French containment because of the SARS-CoV-2 (AKA COVID our Dearest Friend…) does not make things easy. Haundead released a new clip from drafts of their new song “The Alternative”. Showing that despite the situation, they continuing through.
At the end of the summer, the band separates from Rémi Pillon (drums), however the project still on.
October 2020, album is mixed and sent to Thibault Bernard (Convulsound) to be masterised.

This album called “Freedom Won’t Save Our Souls” put forward a kind of death metal mixing different styles from grunge to death metal…Going through post-rock or thrash metal. The atmospheric ambiance of this album shows at its best the drama and melancholic Haundead lyrics.
