I don't have favorite bands, simply favorite albums.
Albums are timeless -- bands are not.
Some of my reviews may vary by as much as 5-15 points, more often than not the old ones, but I don't feel like rewriting them or whatever.
Here's my grading scale:
100% - Ultimate metal album. Transcends all genres and is timeless, definitive, and unforgettable. It doesn't really exist, so round up.
99% - Favorite album, total classic, redefines metal
95% - Classic album, must have
90% - Absolute killer, must have
85% - A great listen, should buy
80% - Recommended
75% - Buy it if you're a fan of the genre, or buy it cheap
70% - it's ok
60% - it's decent
50% - mediocre
40% - pretty bad, but still somewhat listenable
30% - bad
20% - lousy
10% - shit
5% - Total shit. Torture to listen to. Mallcore almost sounds good compared to it.
1% - Absolute septic shit that makes mallcore sound great.
0% - St. Anger. Worst album ever.
