Fan of NWoBHM primarily, first metal I was exposed to, so my ear is not really tuned to other genres with less melodic, concrete-coated vocals. Not denigrating the genres or the talent within them, just not into them.I just haven't found the... Sound of Metal in these other genres. Hair and Glam are the 'do we really need to invite them?' cousins at the family reunion. Except Blackie Lawless. He can hang. Just my opinion.
Bands: Sabbath, Quartz, Riot, Saxon, Maiden, Budgie, Priest, Zep, Scorps, Pre-Black 'Tallica, Motorhead, NWOBHM... and others(like W.A.S.P.!)
