This very short-lived outfit boasted the presence of the vocalist Gary Capriotti who arrived once the cult thrashers Anvil Bitch had split up. It’s a real pity that this formation failed to produce anything else apart from this EP as theirs was a very attractive brand of technical/progressive thrash that was becoming more and more popular towards the end of the decade.
The delivery is quite complex and mazey sustained in a dominant mid-tempo finely exemplified by "Test of Time" with patiently-woven steel technical riffs galore and stylish lead pirouettes. However, there are more speedy decisions to be found "Beyond the Door" which opens with fast-paced shredding and impetuous gallops racing each other, the ensuing tussle supervised by Capriotti’s emotional dramatic, high-strung on occasion, tenor. "The Dawn of a New Day" is a masterpiece of elaborately-crafted progressive thrash with a balladic etude calming the listener initially before the guys embark on a journey full of puzzling riff-formulas and more linear speedy skirmishes, the frequent tempo shifts stirring disorienting, hallucinogenic atmosphere. The latter remains for "Twisted Metal Coffin", the final stylish twister/perplexer here which serves hard thrashing and great melodic leads, this duel carved by a brilliant technical vortex and more hectic dramatic walkabouts that almost raise this striking riff-fest to the level of the preceding cut.
Released at about the same time as other no-brainers from the US roster like Toxik's "Think This", Realm's "Suiciety" and Watchtower’s “Control & Resistance”, these nearly 20-min of musical greatness sadly remained buried deep in the underground alongside the works of other unsung visionaries like Myramainz, Vision Purple, Sedition, Deus Vult, Sintillion, etc. The band survived all the way to the mid-90’s, but nothing else was created on their front. Capriotti returned to the music scene in 2008 when Anvil Bitch reformed; the others are still on a stand-by, waiting for the right time to reappear, certainly without any warning whatsoever.
