Vivisect

What a disgusting effort! And when I say that, you know I'm mostly meaning it in a good way. Vivisection by definition is the practice of performing operations on animals while they are still living for experimentation. Pretty sick concept, and the art going with Vivisects debut EP simply titled Vivisect wraps that all up into one quick dose of American death metal.

This is only two songs plus an intro, but those two songs hold promising tastes for what's to come. "Order Of The Solar Temple" is like a treat where there's a cream filled center. The beginning and end of this one are fast or chaotic, especially the solo at the end of it. The center of it is a bit doom oriented, however, and boasts some of the bassier work. The other song "Rat Torture" is very much a repeat of this, if not shuffled up some. So there isn't much to dig up, but at least what's there is promising. The intro is just a quick synth piece; somewhat out of place but nothing harmful. For a first EP, it's also surprisingly clean. Props to Vivisect for giving the bass plenty of life!
