Violent Night - Snowÿt Demo

We'll be seeing more of these guys. - 90%

Well, this is my first review for this site, but this is a very very, more than great demo to review. It's recorded on a low budget, so I don't count any of the sound quality against them. What matters here is the music and the talent these guys have, and that stands out very well on here. Snowyt's one of the very few upcoming bands that can mix (very well, by the way) a wide range of genre's. There's stuff on this demo ranging from mostly trash sounding, but also alot of power influence thrown in. Six Foot is a song that justs kicks your face in the entire time and it also features a very nice solo from Vic. You just know this guy is gonna get better. Next is Killing Spree, which just by the song title already lets you know this ain't no love ballad. Some very nice guitar work on here from 2 young musicians. Throw in another great solo (it's kinda hard to hear, cuz of the sound quality, but you still get the effect). The best part of the song though is the nice "KILL! KILL! KILL!" chanting in the bridge. Very old school Metallica sounding there. Finally, there's Tight Rope which just proves that these guys only get better with each new song they write. Everything you could ever want in a metal song is in here. Vic is soloing left and right from the start to the finish. It's has some great choirish backing vocals, great drumming (as does the previous 2 also) and some mean-kick-you-in-the-face riffs. You can hear more of the bass work in this one too. All around, a great song, and my favorite on the demo. Again, don't count sound/production quality against them. You can tell these guys got talent, and aren't affraid to use it.
