On Frostbitten Path Beneath

Well, here we have a very promising line-up featuring allmighty Nocturno Culto on vocals and Hellhammer on drums. Sometimes theese "all-star" bands are great, sometimes they simply suck. This time the result is very good.
Nattsjel (band leader and actually the only person left now from the mentioned line-up) gathered really an awesome company! As for the music itself It's mostly mid- to fast tempo black metal in the vein of new Immortal releases. The production is clean and polished, and that's good! Every instrument sounds here great. There are many great melodiñ parts on this release combined with blazing drumming and grim vocals. Nocturno Culto did a fine job, his voice sounds as harsch as in Darkthrone. The thing I don`t like about this demo is the lack of atmosphere. Yes, musically "On Frostbitten Path.." sounds like black metal, but it doesn't have black metal spirit, if you know what I mean.
Anyway it's a very damn good release and I hope that Nattsjel will continue his work in the same way!
