V8 – ANTOLOGIA.

This box set brings us every V8 studio releases all together along with a fourth CD featuring bonus material (live and unreleased) and it also brings a booklet which tells the story of the band since 1982 until 1987 when they split up.
I am not going to review the LPs Luchando Por El Metal, Un Paso Mas En al Batalla and El Fin De Los Inicuos because I have posted reviews for all of them on the original CD versions but of course I am going to review that fourth CD which is entitled 1982-1987.

That album shows demo and rough versions of V8 songs that were later edited, we have a song called “Juicio Final” which later would be known as “Destrucción”, also the real version of “Voy A Enloquecer” which was adulterated for their third LP, demo versions of “Parcas Sangrientas” and “Hiena Del Metal” and other songs that were recorded with initial names like “Vomitando Heavy Metal” which alter turned into “Tiempos Metalicos” and “Asqueroso Cansancio” which was known as “Muy Cansado Estoy”, live versions of “Momento De Luchar”, “Parcas Sangrientas” and “Muy Cansado Estoy”, taken from a show in Obras stadium (7-8/10/83), “La Mano Maldita”, “Maligno (unedited track)” and “Angeles De Las Tiniebals” taken from a show on Midnght in Rafael Castillo(14/4/84) and an outtake of the second era line up in Gracias Nena, BS AS (18/1/86) featuring “Ciega Ambición” and “Antes Que Los Viejos Reyes”.

It also brings an interactive track, live performances of V8 on B.A ROCK in 8/11/1982 and “Tragico Siglo” which was extracted from their last show on San Telmo (11/10/87).
You can actually witness how Heavy metal was like in the early 80´s and see one of the most important myths of Argentine Metal history, V8 performing on the B.A ROCK Festival.

Conclusion: A really great add to your collection, especially if you’ve got nothing of this great band.
