7:51 and four tracks. The title is "demo" and this would be the band's first release. It is metal. It is punk. It is merciless. It is undecided in style and concept. At times the music sounds as if it could not possibly be leashed in any possible way, while at other it progresses calm and steady like a slug. Melodic at times, then nothing but a short staccato of blasts. All in all some tracks simply drop dead all of a sudden and leave the listener puzzled why the band even took the effort in laying things out.
In style it is raw and somewhat uncompromising. A nice guitar solo in "Blood Circle", which breathes the air of old-school death metal. Overall the music has a very old-school black metal touch to it with a considerable amount of punk added to it. Not so much in the direction of Darkthrone, but rather with influences from Venom, Hellhammer, Sabbat or the like.
It is not a bad release, but the stark contrasts are a bit bewildering at times.
