“…Jungle Jimmy is a high school retard…”

Since this song seems to be the only thing keeping the intent of Blackhearts & Jaded Spades’ front jacket from being completely baseless, I guess it deserves not only a single, but its own one-sided flexi-disc single. Hmph. Well, at least the song doesn’t fling crap at us, at least not ‘cos it's bad.

In fact, compared to the rest of the predominately off-to-the-town-market-stiff songs on Blackhearts…, “Monkey’s Blood” is one of the more out-of-its-cage zoo animals. However, the rendition penciled onto this Enfer Magazine (one o’ the more respected zines of its time), New Records (barely remembered for some quite minor Venom affiliation) promo is dissimilar (mostly in length) to the full-lengther’s known bar-bender as well as the inferiorly-recorded one buried by The Cave Sessions bootleg demo.

A band trying to maximize its exposure.
