Heavy music does get tiring at times but Terminally Your Aborted Ghost is refreshing and unique, creating unconventional grindcore. There's a lot of wierd imagery in the lyrics. "To carve the sunrise into their chests with a dull ball point pen" is one line that painted a bizzare picture in my head. You won't know the lyrics just by listening to the music though, you'll have to read them cause the vocals are deep smothering growls, what you'd normally expect from other brutal death bands. It works for the music which gets odd at times and odd is a good thing. They bust out infectious grooves you never saw coming, that's what makes them special. A lot of tweeky guitar noise too that pops out, pretty experimental and different from a lot of other brutal death bands. There's a thick stoner atmosphere vibe they give off in some of their slower riffs. Sometimes for a brief moment they'll incorporate some funk music. For a brutal death/grind band, they are pretty slow paced, they don't go into any lightning fast riffs or rapid pounding drums for that long. The one song that sounds different from everything else is "Her Dead Burning Hair". It's more melodic with screechy guitars that have an alternative rock feel, only forty-seven seconds though. This is a band for fans of Mastodon, The Berzerker, Wormed, Pig Destroyer, Cephalic Carnage, Nile, Aborted, and Dying Fetus to watch out for. Good demo, Terminally Your Aborted Ghost have quite a special touch to their brand of brutal death that sets them aside from all the other bands in this genre that suffers from too many bands too afraid of venturing out of the genre's boundaries.
