Suburban Terrorist - Respect-Ignorance-Provocation

Slovakian Death Metal Terrorism! - 75%

JayInIrons, June 7th, 2010

I received this five track full length album "Respect Ignorance Provocation" from my Slovakian friends that told me before to check out the band. I haven't been introduced to any Slovakian metal bands before, and to be clear with this, Suburban Terrorist was really a positive surprise when i started to take the first "peaks" out of this album.

"Respect Ignorance Provocation" includes only five tracks, which i think are the bands first careful steps before making anything longer. Song names like "Brokendown Face", "Switch off the Power", "Self-destruction", "Respect Ignorance Provocation" and "Blast by Evil's Power" tell pretty much about the upcoming music itself. Songs are full off catchy riffs with a twist of hardcore sound, and potential Death Metal growling. Album goes through itself quite fast and doesn't really let listeners blood get too chilled. My biggest props go to last track, which has an awesome riff ending it.

Now i have to get to the minus side as well, which is the album lyrics. All of the songs are written in quite poor English with lots and lots of typos and mistakes. This makes me feel quite bad, because otherwise this album is really good and potential Slovakian Death Metal. For me lyrical side comes always as a really important part of the music, and this time it reduces my given points.

I recommend these guys to get into their music even more. Suburban Terrorist could be a big name in Europe, after a few fixes of course.
