If they had better promotion they could make a hell of career. Unfortunately, they were born in a country that could not help (or didn`t care to promote) guys playing english rock/metal. It is also truth that competition was so hard during 80's in the genres of heavy, power, epic that few could survive.
Spitfire play a blend of many styles. The singer has a great vocal range. He reminds me of many top singers like Dio, Tate, Dickinson, (a bit of) Halford, but without a personal style that can make him distinguished. His pronunciation is also suprisingly good for a greek singer. The guitars are amazing following the trends of mid 80's. The songwriting is formulaic (you feel that you have listened to this stuff by many other groups of that era), but with great success.
In general, Spitfire were heavy metal followers, not leaders or pioneers. But they were perfect students of the great groups of the past like NWOBHM bands, early Queensryche, Heavy load etc. You will not hear something new, you can expect the "normal" stuff (an "anthemic" opener, enthusiastic guitar-led fast tracks with a bit of emotion and passion to enrich them and the nearly essential power ballad), but with a pleasant result for the fans of 80's stuff.
