Goregrind bands that "Woship Carcass" are everywhere, you can't escape from them. It's either "Carcass worshipping" bands, Tupa-Tupa bands or Gorenoise bands in the world of Goregrind. In this case, we are meeting Sickness from Malaysia.
First of all, I want to mention the samples. Have you ever watched HBO's Autopsy? Do you like it?. If you answered Yes to both of those questions, then I have great news to you. Almost all samples from this album are taken from that TV show. The rest are samples from other shows documentaries about autopsies and stuff like that.
Now the music and i'm starting with the vocals. There are 2 types of vocals in this album: Growls and Gurgles. And sometimes they are mixed together, this causes an unique and disgusting (in a good way) sound to the voice. Both guitars and bass have a really harsh tone, It almost sounds like chainsaws. Specially in the faster parts of the album.
And finally the drums sound raw, specially the snare which has the classic "tin can" snare sound. There is some sloppy playing but that doesn't mean the drumming is bad. Actually, the sloppy playing makes the album feel more brutal and raw. And the production also plays an important role in this album. The quality is really low and lo-fi, and makes the album feel more "dirty" and "messy". Which at the same time, makes the album more enjoyable and amazing.
Even if it's not necessary to say again what the music sounds like, These guys actually sound more menacing and more epic than Carcass themselves. Specially with the awesome riffs and solos these guys have in this release.
In conclusion, an underrated goregrind album from an underrated country.
