This band became my favorite band, since I heard their latest release, Hackled In Gore. The music, in general, reminds me mainly on Suffocation; very brutal, but very technical at the same time.
The songs are put together in interesting way. Almost every song have an outro at the end, or intro at the beggining (something like Pestilence - Testimony of the Ancients), which I really like it. It makes you feel like you are listening some 50 min. long, good story.
The first song starts with quite a long intro (around 2 min.). Sounds like babies are dying, they've been tortured, or something; very morbid. As soon as the intro ends, the beauty starts, and you can just stuck with the story for another 50 minutes, or maybe go over it again couple of times.
Really cool blast beats! That's how I started liking this band. Mainly because of the insane drumming. It's very persized, very intense, and so correct. In the same paths, very technical riffs have been played by the guitars. Also, very good solos, as they suppose to be; not very long, fast, with a little feeling into it = straight Death Metal solos. The vocals - I would compare them to maybe... Ross from Immolation, I guess.
My favorite song from this album would be either the second track Amongst the Devastated Graves, or the forth track Pre-natal Whittling.
The outro on Flensed Battue is deadly, too. It's got some very morbid bass tapping. It goes perfect, before Pre-natal Whitlling, starts.
I just want to say at the end of this review: Hackled In Gore has excellent production (forgot to mention that), and those who like Suffocation, would really enjoy Scrambled Defuncts, as well!
