Seeds of Rebellion

The song “Seeds of the Rebellion” was the first demo song of Scar Symmetry and it´s also on the first album “Symmetric in Design”. When I first heard the song I was already familiar with the 2nd album and I was surprised about the high quality of the song and the band proved that they can make instrumentally qualitative tracks. I mean, it is the first demo and I would have believed it, if somebody had told me that this song was the result of months of hard work and a lot of experience.

Especially the intrumental work shows the talent of Scar Symmetry. The song contains different musical parts so it is impossible to get bored while listening. The guitarsolo is extremely good and the guitar creates a catchy melody which you keep in mind.
Unfortunately my opinion of the vocals isn´t very good. I mean, the parts which are sung, aren´t bad but I´ve heard better vocal sounds on the album. This is a shame because I know how good the vocals can be and it´s just the only minus point I can give concerning this demo.

Still, this song is the best listen for fans of melodic death metal. It´s very demanding when it comes to the instrumental skills of the band and it is definitely worth a try.
