Sabbat - Live in ThailanDemonslaught

Live Sabbatical Madness - 90%

Werewolf, December 19th, 2009

If you’re looking for someone who plays some of the most evil Metal ever while wearing spikes and a diaper, here is another great chance to hear one of the already countless live releases of this cult band! Personally I’m not at all a collector of their live assaults, so I have nothing to compare it with, but it was definitely one Hell of a gig! If you don't know what Sabbatical Metal is about - you gotta change it as soon as possible!

As for this particular gig - the track-list here is great! Both classic “Black Fire” and “Mion’s Hill” tracks from the debut demo+a mixture of songs from Satansword, Karmagmassacre, Envenom, Disembody and Fetishism albums are nicely executed with a raw and absolutely EVIL sound, though still heard clear enough to be understood an enjoyable. Some cool instrumental parts and guitar solos add some spices to this tasty salad and this more than an hour long attack closes with the old “Darkness and Evil”, which originally appeared on their ancient, now impossible to find “Desecration” demo from 1988 and closes with Metalucifer’s HEAVY METAL HUNTER, that made the crowd of Thailandiehards who attended this event probably go nuts! I really hope to see a live Israhellslaught play by this great band one day, even though there’s no chance for it to happen.

As usual – this CD has a nice looking layout done by the Metal Warrior Jerasac, so if you’re not into the MFMP (Metal for Millioners Pure) countless below zero limited releases of Sabbat’s live stuff by HMSS – order it as soon as you finish reading this review!
