For as young as they are (15-16 years old), Russian Winter sure know the meaning of true metal! Their sound is untainted by the blasphemies of modern mainstream metal. Nothing but true heavy metal here. The vocalist has a small range, but is good nonetheless and serves the purpose well. The drums are simple and provide nothing but a beat to keep the song moving. But the guitarist, let me tell you, is one outstanding motherfucker (again the age factor)! Along with his galloping, Iron Maiden-esque riffs, he can also belt out a hell of a solo! The bass player keeps right up with the guitar and shows his skill proudly. Both of the original songs featured are mature, though out pieces of music, and the cover of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" does no shame to the original! This band shows a lot of potential and will be a force to be reckoned with in days to come. Anyone into traditional, power, speed, and thrash metal should enjoy this.
For fans of: Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, etc...
