After 18 years of silence and since the band published his first LP "Void" through, the now defunct, Repulse Records, Reincarnation returns with a new album entitled "The Beginning of the End", which is released by Xtreem Music. The production and mastering has been performed by Dave Rotten of Avulsed, who is also owner of the said label. Meanwhile the now quintet has recorded a demo in 2006 that includes 3 songs that appear on the new album.
I must say that the wait has been worth it and those who enjoy the death metal are lucky because with this new album, Reincarnation has done a great job. What we find in this album is not an old school death metal (you could think that if you just check the other releases from Xtreem Music) but, 1 intro + 8 songs of American brutal death metal in the vein of bands like the old Pyrexia (Sermon of mockery or System of the animal) or Internal Bleeding.
The sound in this album is strong and heavy, overwhelming as a hammer in your head. The guitar sound is excellent, similar to the sound in the previous album (Void), but clearer, what gives the album a higher quality sound without losing brutality. The mixing and the volume of every instrument is perfect and it helps to distinguish and enjoy them individually. Guitars are perfectly attuned, the guitar riffs are technical but not excessively, so you can follow the songs easily without much concentration. Also we can find a couple of guitar solos with some melodies that are great and that help to make the whole album more enjoyable. The songs have a great rhythmic variety, blast beats, double bass, etc, the style of New York.
Javi's vocals are interesting through the album. His voice changes constantly from a "pig scream" to a tight-throated vocals full of anger. It is one of the highlights in the album.
Definitely, this is an album for those who enjoy the death metal in an American (New York) way. An album with a thunderous sound. An album that you'll hear from the beginning to the end without rest and without getting tired.
