Polishdebin are a thrash metal band from Canada, a country known for producing awesome bands like Martyr, Cryptopsy, Razor, Slaughter etc. It's just too bad that Polishdebin just suck.

I mean come on. I already know that 60% of most modern thrash acts blow, but Polishdebin takes the cake. They're probably the worst modern thrash act I've heard. There's hardly anything good about this demo. I mean, it's too fucking bland and boring to sit through. The riffs all sound the same, and there's hardly any variation in the riffs. For a groove metal band, that would be acceptable, but Polishdebin play thrash. There is maybe ONE riff in the entire demo that isn't the usual chug-ish thrash riff that the album is full of. Well, that wouldn't have been a problem if the riffs were actually good and made me punch the wall and bang my head in absolute ecstasy. All the songs sound the same, and that's only because every single riff sounds the same. They may be different, the chord progression etc could be different, but I wouldn't know and I wouldn't CARE because at the end of the day they all sound almost the same.

The music is extremely redundant, and this is probably what happens when a bunch of people form a band after hearing one or two thrash metal bands, without properly grasping the nature of the genre. They try hard to invoke an epic feel into the listener, but the band just falls flat on their face.

And the icing on the cake.. the “breathtaking” vocal performance! This band's vocalist gives Alexi Laiho a run for his money. He's THAT awful! If they had a different vocalist, who had a clean melodic voice, this demo would have gotten maybe a 50% from me. But the vocals are so unbearable, I have no choice but to give this album an extremely low 10%. If you think bands like Lich King are worthy of receiving a 10% score, you should listen to Polishdebin.

Avoid at all costs. Seriously, avoid this piece of shit.
