Wow… could there be a more obscure, remote place on the UK map than Workington, Cumbria, North West England? I doubt it; the thing is that this place and its hard-workington… sorry, working people should be more highly respected cause in the distant 1987 they spawned this act here, arguably their most significant contribution to the world.

This is one short concrete fist in the face, lasting for a bit under half an hour, crossing the polished aggression of Violence's "Eternal Nightmare" with the more vicious, less sophisticated pummelling of Evildead’s "Annihilation of Civilization". Run for cover almost instantly after you press “play” cause this effort will hurt you… literally. The title-track attacks you with no mercy, the furious wound-inducing riffage accompanied by fairly articulate clean vocals ala John Connelly (Nuclear Assault), the man pitching it higher on occasion. The illusions for something at least a bit serene are not exactly non-existent as “Non-Existant” arrives and serves a portion of slower pounding rhythms, but only as a momentary digression, mind you, this same cut later turning into a vitriolic piece of bile. Short bullets like “Terminal Agony” and “The World & I Obey” leave a sea of sprained necks the more serious, more technical layout of “Critical Condition” a more than welcome occurrence, the guys twisting and turning the riff-patterns without losing even a notch from the aggressive dominance the latter receiving another more technical decoration on the hectic, wall-tumbling “As the Walls Close”.

Well, not really much more to add here, mosh mosh mosh… thrash thrash thrash, bang bang bang… then definitely find some time to recover from this exhausting downpour, even if that means taking some narcotic substances… but, please, don’t turn those into a religion; getting exposed to this short brutal delight from time to time should do the trick against all ailments and addictions that may befall you.
