Speed Is Calling You!! - 100%

Holy shit, what an amazing release from these Finns. First listen and you'll be immediately reminded of Judas Priest; the singing style of Lee Anvel has all the calling cards of Rob Halford, and the execution of the music is pretty much there with Downing and Tipton - however, Anvel and the band add their own personal touches to these three songs. Influence from the NWOBHM is definitely there. Also there is that charming indescribable cult vibe you'd get from obscure 80's bands that kept out of the mainstream radar.

There's more from Outlaw out there, but these particular songs stand-out as examples where everything came together. These are their best songs for sure (as of this review date). These are fist-pumping, adrenaline-inducing anthems that feel like classics. Amazing melodies, amazing vocals, amazing solos, amazing rhythms, amazing creative lyrical touches - Outlaw really convinces you they know exactly what they're doing and how to do it perfectly. What I really appreciate is how each song doesn't stray out of what's best for them; each expressing all they really need to without getting bloated or overdone. They also all sound varied while being tied to a specific sound.

This is what a demo should sound like; the songs are catchy, memorable and they all make sense amongst each other. An all-around perfect demo. If this is the direction these guys are headed in, if this is what they have in store with a full-album, then they have an instant heavy metal classic in the making. Speed is calling you!!
