Laetentia

Here we have the second release of ON, the Spanish Death Metal band. This is not a demo properly, but a promo CD featuring three songs that will appear in their first full length album. There are many changes in their style, they still play technical music, they still sing in Spanish, but their new sound is much heavier, more brutal and straightforward, almost without any reminiscence of Black Metal as in their demo. Now they could sound as an old-school Death Metal band with modern ideas. They have a very personal sound. In some moments they could sound to stuff like GOREFEST (‘False’) or even KONKHRA (‘Spit Or Swallow’), but also to bands like late HYPOCRISY, specially in the melodic parts. ON sound heavier and they are a bit more technical (and even vaguely experimental sometimes), but you can have an idea with this comparisons. The production is quite good, very heavy and equilibrated, clean but not synthetic. They are skilled musicians, and you clearly notice this when you listen to their music. Quite recommendable for fans of catchy, heavy and slightly technical modern Death Metal. It seems they are looking for a label interested in releasing their album.
