Yes! A fun-sized portion of one of the greatest bestial black/death metal bands around, I love it already! And let me come to the conclusion right away: this swings like the skin of your fat grandma's arms in a gentle breeze!

After being eased in by an unsettling intro, the listener is immediately punched in the gut by the abrasive grindcore-infused form of remorseless black/death metal Necroholocaust is known for. It sounds massive, and the distorted guitars, battering percussion and down-pitched vocals make it clear from the get-go that we are dealing here with a member of the tribe founded by Blasphemy, Conqueror and Black Witchery. Crass, fast and aggressive as a wet cat on crack, Necroholocaust has no use for subtlety, melody or nuance, and deliver a painful blow of savage extreme metal, designed to hurt.

The B-side has "Nuclear Whore" on offer, another dose of savage and abrasive brutality. Bookended by a slow section that has me thinking of a demented Bolt Thrower, we get more of the chainsaw guitar-driven, blast beat propelled madness, that because of the pitched vocals remind me of Regurgitate, but on steroids. It is another exercise in head-caving savagery, and let's face it, I would not want it any other way from them. This is simply a brilliant offering, yet again.

Necroholocaust are a band that needs to have it from demented brutality and abrasive force, and that is the way it has to be in my opinion. A satanic concoction of grindcore, death and black metal simply has no need for proggy melodic guitar wank or subtle nuance, but needs to batter, maim and break bones.

If you can't handle that, there's always Coldplay, of course.
