This band totally has chops. They have recorded a strong sounding release. Awesome guitar distortion used and the pinch harmonics sound awesome whenever they are performed on this EP. I would say that the songs on here are mid-paced to fast-paced when it comes to the tempo. If you’re looking for ultra fast and technical stuff, this is not the EP you’re looking for.
Nick McGroder performs memorable riffs on all three songs. It’s a mix of thrash metal riffs and death metal riffs. It sounds like he might be influenced by Slayer. The riffs sound heavy and hard. The most creative guitar work is on Acid Tub. Terrific riffs and a terrific solo on that track. Great lead guitar work is present when it comes to the guitars. McGroder is a fantastic guitarist. He uses the whammy bar quite nicely. He is also the bassist on this EP. The bass is extremely good on the track Mutilation Barbecue. It sounds pretty fierce with distortion. He goes hard with the bass.
Harrison Good knows how to drum well. He goes nuts with the drum kit. He doesn’t go super fast though. He might throw in a little bit of blast beats. Acid Tub and Necrophiliac Obsession has his best drum work. He has a great sounding bass drum, it sounds quite strong. Chris Maggot has great guttural vocals. He has old school death metal sounding vocals. You’re sort of able to understand his vocals on Acid Tub. It’s a bit hard to decipher, which is not uncommon with death metal vocalists.
This is pretty much a hard sounding death metal EP with a modern production. The only downside is that it’s too short. Hopefully they will release a full-length album soon. They have loads of potential and I hope they become more known in the modern death metal scene. It’s not that hard to find. You can check this out on Bandcamp or Spotify.
