Morte is a young band from Argentina who play old school death metal in the vein of (old) Entombed, Dismember, Autopsy, Asphyx, etc, with a great doom influence, who makes his songs sound very good.

This band is for those who like slow, doomy and ugly death metal and this is their debut EP, who consists of seven tracks with a very good structure and arrangements on the songs. Here you will not find conceited techniques, ultra-speed solos or anything that sounds technical, but yes, you can find a lot of filthy sound, intros from classics horror films like ''The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'' and ''A Nightmare on Elm Street'' (Reliquia de Huesos and La Pesadilla), insane vocals, some great ''Boss HM-2'' riffs, great slow and heavy parts ( Eterna Nada, Reino Oscuro, Lento Descenso a la Putrefacción) a kickass drum and a bass who play proper lines. The filthy production is really good and everything is audible, the vocals are really great too.

The lyrics are the classic theme of these kind of bands, horror movies, death, darkness, etc. If you are looking for a band who offer something new or fresh for the death metal scene you are in the wrong place, but this EP will take you back to the old glorious days of the scene. In general, these almost 24 minutes ensure a promising future for this young band, and last but not least, check out the cover artwork which is really sick, made by Felipe Lovizio Rodriguez, from Fibroma, another death metal Argentinian band. The band has plans to release the EP in physical form like CD and cassette, just wait.

We are here maybe in front of one of the best releases of death metal this year in Argentina.
