In the beginning of the 90's there was another band called Monastery in Holland. This band featured some members of Entombed en Sinister, I guess.
This Monastery is a total different band and plays tight Death/Thrash metal, which is well listening away thanks to the sound of Franky's Recording Kitchen.
Many "staccatoriffs" reminds me of Metallica at the time of "And Justice For All". The speed of the songs are a lot faster than Metallica and everything sounds a bit more extreme and brutal.
The vocals of Jacob-Hans Kingma are proper varied and I have to say that his somewhat screaming vocals liked me most. The grunt is also okay, but my opinion says that the more or less clean vocals could be dropped.
Musical is it all right, so what will stop you to listen this Death/Thrash band!
