Columna

I got this cd for free, and that being said, didn't expect much. My intuition was correct. This band has some potential. For not acquiring any money at all for their work, you know they are playing because they actually enjoy playing the music. However, the tracks on this album are poor. Voi starts off decent, but then the vocals start. He just sounds like he's talking into the mic and grunts every now and then. The mood of the song is very somber/depressing. The type of music you might expect to hear at..say..a gothic funeral.


Now onto Columna. This song starts off better than Voi. The sound quality is better overall, but, once again, the vocals hinder the song. The drums are alsoa bit too loud. At times, you can only hear the snare drum while the vocals are completely drowned out. This track is also a depressing/somber song. Unlike Voi, this song has better lyric styles. I can actually hear the singing during most of the song. But, it's not the best.
