Metal Extremista, June 12th, 2022
Written based on this version: 2021, CD, Independent

This is the second studio recording by Maldek, we have 16 minutes of death metal sung in Spanish, with evident influences from the Florida Death Metal scene, the lineup changed and the experience of the new members in the rhythm section is a plus in the band's performance, enrolling Diego "Necro" on drums and Julio Crown on bass guitar has demonstrated to be a winning move. Although we will not find much musical innovation here, it's a great piece of Salvadoran death metal for the following reasons:

Bass is fast and creates a powerful background for the precise guitars played by Sepulchral and Efraín. Drumming has a nice style akin to 80s and 90s death metal classics. This EP uses a lot of well-known death/thrash elements like fast tempos and melodic harmonies. Genochrist also performs superbly, he is one of the best death metal vocalists in the local arena today with a powerful yet clear tone that allows the listener to understand most of the lyrics.

With tracks lasting between 3 and 4 minutes, the dynamics of the album are intense without being overwhelming at all, it is a pleasure to listen to the variety of arrangements the band pours into their compositions on this EP, a notable improvement in their style and a sign of maturity and experience in a more technical approach from their full-length “Pesadilla Sangrienta”. In my opinion, the best tracks are "Deshumanizado" and "Caos en mi mente".
