Lethal Doses only album, this self titled release from '88, is heavy metal/speed metal. I wouldn't feel justified labeling it either one, so I must label it as a hybrid of both. Yes, its similar to Metal Church's 80's releases...but not in a rip off sense at all. In fact this album has a unique feel to it despite being that similar heavy/speed style of Metal Church. Personally, I like it even more than my favorite Metal Church album which were their first two.
Lethal Dose is definately an album I can listen to over and over. The songs are well played and very catchy, with a fresh, energetic feeling to them.
Lyrics are well written, vocals are intelligible and delivered in cool style. Guitars are great, plenty of riffs, good structures, and at least 1 solo per song. The solos are well played, not amazing, but nicely done.
The best quality of this album is that its just one of those albums that has that energetic, new, fun feeling to it. Never boring or depressing. Just good catchy metal, with riot vocal choruses in most songs.
I'm sure this album is long out of print so if you find a copy buy it!!
Or get the mp3's, thats what I did.
Overall - A unique and very well done heavy/speed metal album.
