One day I was walking through the town with my cellphone in hand, risking myself to probably fall with something on the road or getting robbed. I was looking for metal music on YouTube and I found this album on my recommendations. The artwork immediately drew my attention, it depicts a real picture of the rotten corpse of a man who commited suicide by hanging. "UwU, what is this" was my internal reaction, and I didn't waste more time and I pressed play.
The album starts with an ambient intro, a pretty creepy one. Then the first riff kicks in, and it's a great riff with a lot of groove. The riff is followed by some simple but good drumming. Anyways, this type of groove represents the majority of the album. Basically, the entire albums focuses more on the primitive, punky and early days of death metal. Some examples are the D-beat and punky drumming styles, the mid-paced riffs and how the album lacks the typical blast beat.
While I was listening to the album, I thought that the vocals were similar to Dopi from Machetazo, Bodybag and Liturgical Damage. Then I realized that Dopi was actually singing. Dopi's vocals are normal growls, while Suici's vocals are like growls with water. Anyways, both vocals are good. The production though could have been much better, It has an abrasive sound but still it could have been better.
In general, this album is pretty groovy. Not much technicality to speak of. But, there are some exceptions like the track "Monolith". "Monolith" is more influence by doom metal. And also there is the track "Jigoku Shoujo", which is influenced by Anime.
In conclusion, a good debut that could have been better.
