A Sonic Dystopia. - 94%

Apted a post-apocalyptic concept delivered without any industrial parts (except for the blurring noises performed in intro and outro) that seems to be all to often wielded nowadays, not that I have any complaints in fact I love industrial black metal anyway back to Invokation, wearing the mark of primitive slow black metal still not being a copy of bands such as Burzum, Dark Throne, The Shining, , Abyssic Hate, Eibon etc etc (though I can sense a feeling that DT served in “The claws of time” which is in my opinion their greatest song ever).

Invokation is not attempting to make anything innovative or “modern” they are just following their own structures still making something own and succeeds stating severe feelings of hate, disgust and/or depression sinking deeper and finally realises the purpose of the endtime, which is what the most albums fails to bring.

So to say its nothing for speedmaniacs or people that want variation throughout the album (though they included a blasbeatpart in the ending of the titletrack) but its what the most hateful, lifetired, misanthropic individuals may find as a soundtrack to the waiting of mushroomclouds to occur, oh yeah there is a mushroomcloud on the cover by the way.

The songs most appreciated (though they all are great according to myself): “Now enter armaggeddon”, “Fragile scourge” and “Last days of winter”.

visit their site (www.invokation.tk) and download the two tracks (sadly the mp3 files doesn’t make the songs on the album any justice) and make up your own mind.
