Any charitability that this band Interceptor has goes straight out the window once you see that it is simply an imitation of Venom lead by an egomaniacal douche. The band stirred its image simply through the algorithms of Tik Tok and Instagram to pride themselves on what such an amazing act they are, but how true is that really?
It must be prefaced that the songs in themselves are not actually terrible, they are written, and recorded in a way that does somewhat faithfully capture the early 80s early of speed metal transitioning to thrash metal (a la Venom, Motorhead, Metallica, Frontman Blake Arendell's aspiration heroes). However, this is where the positives pretty much end for the Demo. The first main critique which is essentially applicable to the band at large is that the music is wholly unoriginal. It's trying as hard as it possibly can to sound as similar to Venom and Motorhead as possibly, with some of the song similarities being downright unmistaken. Take the song Hatred, the riffage is immediately akin to that of 'Sons of Satan' off of Welcome to Hell by 'Venom'.
The rest of the tracks are not much better and really just emulate that of Iron Maiden or Motorhead and the overall product is simply disappointing. The band also replicates them more than just in the songwriting, their regular publication on social media demonstrates the obnoxious frontman Blake Arendell or as he so METALLY names himself, "Bulldozer Arenwurst" blatantly taking the Venom or Motorhead style, such as dressing in spandex akin to that of Cronos, or having the microphone held higher than usually to really accentuate the Lemmy feel.
Overall, the contents of the album in combination with its wider image and the figures involved make for an overall cringeworthy and second-rate metal record.
