You simply cannot speak of this release unless you are using terms such as madness, violence, inhumanities, etc. This is metal made by such desolate thrashing metal hearts that it is incomprehensible in this day and age to even compare it to "normal" metal music.
The guitar sound, and for that matter all of the instrument sounds here are all pure necro. What this means? well it means that these people thought that this sounded good at the time; or at least as good as they could get it to sound. The fuzzy cheapo distortion pedal plugged into the 10 watt Gorilla practice guitar amp with a pencil thin guitar cable that was previously used to strangle somebody and you start to get the picture in regards to the sound quality here. The snare drum sounds like a poorly tuned tom tom drum most of the time, and the bass, don't even get me started on the bass! Easily the most dismal sounding bass tone i've ever heard; so much so that I remember hearing a bass break on the album and going holy sh*t!, that's the bass guitar, wow! But actually, this is a quite refreshing sound to my ears after hearing so many clean and polished sounding recordings lately in the death metal scene. The mix is rather loud so the album really cranks and you can really feel the power of the raw sounding instruments.
The music itself is a typical speed and thrash metal affair. Considering that this was made in 1987, it's one of the fastest things out at that time. The best way for me to describe the music here is to explain to you that this is an album that falls perfectly within every genre stereotype that non-metal listeners and old people have for this kind of music. Most old-timer classical enthusiasts will tell you that oh, all that heavy metal is some crazy lunatics bashing on the instruments and the singer is just some metally ill person from the hospital that can't sing and just raves on like a madman. Well you know what? Those analogies sound dead-on here. There are speedy parts as in bands like Sarcofago and S.O.D. and there are breakdowns that are real pit worthy but strike me more like the ones that you'd be thrashing to at some crossover thrash bands show like lets say Cro Mags or D.R.I., those types of breakdown.
All in all I must say that I highly recommend this album to anyone that likes extreme metal. It's truly poor, and unfortunate metal but for those fortunate enough to be able to track this obscure release down, you may find yourself running around the house screaming along to this typically South American gem.
