Grima Morstua

Grima Morstua plays old-school style black metal. A friend recommended me this demo, it's a bit hard to find, even on file sharing programs, but for the most part, it's worth it if you're a fan of black metal.

The songs are quite long, but they have enough variation to keep my interest throughout the entire song. There are a lot of good, cold riffs that are very memorable and even quite catchy. The only complaint I really have is regarding the vocals, they just sound forced, and more like croaking than singing. I've heard worse, but still, this band would be much much better with better vocals.

All in all, this is a pretty good release, especially when taking into consideration that it's a demo. The music is great with plenty of variaton, but the vocals are simply sub-par. But still, it's recommended for any die-hard black metal fan.
