”Not to be confused with the Death Metal band Grave, also from Sweden.” Good luck at that. In fact what this single offered five years before that other band was even founded is so different that it is hard to see any connection at all. For example, a good measure of hyperactive Deep Purple keyboards is to found here. In just two songs they managed to fit in more of them than Don Airey could hope to include in a four-minute solo. Incidentally Henrik Thall has time for an own solo too.
More strangely, this independent seven-inch with monochrome cover also features a perfect production, great guitars and a B-side in ‘Dreamer’ sounding a lot like the NWOBHM gem Tytan. That similarity even manifests itself vocalwise at points. ‘Screaming From The Grave’ is more linear in structure, kick-starting with a heavy riff then somehow manages to keep going headlong straight forward AND losing the track somewhere among the keyboard fumes.
So, the A-side is the downside of this single, but together they form an interesting though not earthshaking single. The sad part is that this band continued unrecognized and is nowadays not known outside of the collector spheres.
