Ô Laudate Dominvs

Here we have yet another grim aggressive black metal band. And what do you know they are from France. The French scene seems to have undergone a huge explosion spawning many black metal bands over the recent years. Glorior Belli is another one. Now their demo was pretty average falling to far into the boring category, not really giving me something new to listen to but the band has definitely given it a good stab at with their debut.

Many of the riffs are fairly decent and the drummer is excellent. However this band does not hold my attention for to long. Every now and then it comes back as some catchy grim riffs are played but that is about it. The vocals are reasonable and pretty grim as well but of course the vocalist will have to do better than that if he wants to prove himself above the rest of the bands out there. In fact that is pretty much all I can say about everything here. Everything is reasonable but there is nothing special that separates this band from the countless other bands that are plaguing the scene.

If you are looking for something new then I would suggest elsewhere as this is just a rehash of what has been done countless times before.
